Iran's children, youth filmfest announces foreign lineup

The 31st Int'l Film Festival for Children and Youth announces lineup of foreign feature films in competition section.

The 31st edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth has announced the lineup of 15 foreign feature films in the competition section.

'Wendy' directed by Dagmar Seume and 'The Peppercorns and the Curse of the Black King' directed by Christian Theede, both from Germany, as well as 'My Giraffe' directed by Barbara Bredero from the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany are in the lineup.

The list goes on with 'The Witch Hunters' by Rasko Miljkovic from Serbia, 'The Seen and Unseen' by Kamila Andini from Indonesia, 'The Night I Swam' by Kohei Igarashi and Damien Manivel from France and Japan, 'The Last Warrior' by Dmitriy Dyachenko from Russia, and 'Hero Steps' by Henry Rincon from Colombia.

'Summer Children' by Gudrun Ragnarsdottir from Iceland and Norway, 'Alone by David Moreau from France, 'Casper and Emma Go Hiking' by Arne Lindtner Næss from Norway, 'Children Of Genghis' by Zolbayar Dorj from Mongolia, 'Little Spirou' by Nicolas Bary from Belgium, and 'Home' by Kim Jong-woo from South Korea are also in the lineup.

Jointly organized by Farabi Cinema Foundation, Isfahan Municipality and Iran Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs, the festival includes national and international competition sections.

Thematic priorities of the event are promotion of ethics, family values, humanitarianism, self confidence, social responsibility and environmental awareness.

The list of Iranian films and films in the special screening sections are to be announced.

The 31st edition of the International Film Festival for children and Youth is slated for August 30-September 5, 2018, in the Iranian city of Isfahan.
